he Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened on a positive note as it increased by 0.29 percent to 4,911.02 in Monday's first trading session.
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data showed105 traded stocks strengthened in the morning while 31 stocks weakened and 70 stocks remained unchanged.
Volume of transactions involved 484.295 million shares worth Rp 1.64 trillion (US$ 144.32 million), kontan.co.id reported.
Every sector saw improvements in the opening session, led by the miscellaneous industry with 1.06 percent, followed by mining and infrastructure with 0.57 percent and 0.47 percent, respectively.
The higest gainers on the LQ 45 index included PT XL Axiata (EXCL), PT Multipolar (MLPL) and PT Astra International (ASII).
Meanwhile, PT Kalbe Farma (KLBF), PT Bumi Serpong Damai (BSDE) and PT United Tractors (UNTR) did not fare so well. (nfo)
