he Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed on a negative note as it decreased slightly by 0.10 percent to 4,892.29 during Monday's final trading session.
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data showed 157 traded stocks weakened in the afternoon while 121 stocks strengthened and 103 stocks remained unchanged.
Volume of transactions involved 4.648 billion shares worth Rp 6.79 trillion (US$594.05 million), kontan.co.id reported.
Shares across seven sectors weakened in the closing session, led by construction with a 1.03 percent decrease, followed by plantation and basic industry with 0.94 percent and 0.65 percent, respectively.
The LQ45 index's biggest losers included PT Pakuwon Jati (PWON), PT Kalbe Farma (KLBF), PT Indocement Tunggal Prakasa (INTP) and PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA).
Meanwhile, the index's highest gainers were PT Global Mediacom (BMTR), PT XL Axiata (EXCL), PT Media Nusantara Citra (MNCN), PT Astra International (ASII) and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGAS). (nfo)
