Two men riding a motorcycle shot a satay vendor, who was pushing his pushcart, in Ciracas, East Jakarta.
The victim, Siin, 50, was admitted to Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta to have the bullet extracted from his back.
'The preliminary investigation has found that the victim was shot by one of two unidentified people riding a motorcycle,' Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said on Sunday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Pasar Rebo Police chief Comr. Didik Haryadi said the shooting happened on Saturday night at around 8:30 p.m. when the victim was hawking satay in the neighborhood. 'He was shot on Jl. Tipar,' Didik said.
The police were waiting to interview the victim about the shooting.
