KPK denies BCA search

C

orruption Eradication Commission(KPK) spokesman Johan Budi has denied that KPK investigators searched thepremises of the country'€™s largest private lender, Bank Central Asia (BCA).

'€œWe didn'€™t deploy investigators to search for evidence at BCA'€™s premises,'€ Johan said on Tuesday.

He said KPK investigators were focusing on gathering more evidence relating to former Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) chief Hadi Poernomo'€™s involvement in the graft case, which could concern Rp 375 billion in state loses.

Commenting on the search, as quoted by tempo.co BCA president Jahja Setiaatmadja also said there was no search conducted by KPK investigators.

Johan said a group of investigators, however, had been deployed to search for evidence at the Home Ministry'€™s premises in Kalibata, South Jakarta, in relation to the electronic ID card procurement project graft allegation.
