ozens of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators have searched for evidence at the BCA building in Central Jakarta in relation to the tax objection case that saw former Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) chief Hadi Poernomo names a suspect.
KPK deputy chief Busyro Muqoddas confirmed that the investigators were on route to undertake the search at the country's largest private lender.
'This could be true [that the investigators are searching for evidences in BCA building],' he said as quoted by tempo.co on Tuesday.
Hadi Poernomo was named suspect in the tax objection case filed by BCA in 2003. The tax objection was worth Rp 5.7 trillion. Hadi Poernomo, who served as taxation director general at that time, changed the order and decided to grant the tax objection.(dic)
