AKARTA: The marketing arm of South Korean car maker KIA Motors Corp., PT KIA Motor Indonesia (KMI), launched on Wednesday its latest sport utility vehicle (SUV), the KIA New Sportage, to capture the growing demand for SUVs in Indonesia.
KMI's marketing manager, Hartanto Sukmono, said the firm would market four types of KIA New Sportage nationwide, from the Rp 305 million (US$26,230) LX Manual to the Rp 418 million Platinum model.
'The cars are available from our dealers,' Hartanto said in Jakarta on Wednesday as quoted by Antara news agency. He said the new Sportage was fuel efficient and did not give off a lot of emissions.
'That is the fundamental change to our Sportage range that we launched today,' he added.
