A

two-headed baby boy was born to a rubber plantation worker by cesarean section at Insani Pelawi Hospital in Pangkalan Berandan, Langkat regency.

Due to limited medical facilities at the hospital, the baby, who was born on Wednesday morning, was transferred to Ringadi Hospital in Medan on Wednesday evening.

Pringadi hospital spokesman Edison Perangin-angin said that the baby was healthy, adding that the hospital would form a special team to monitor the baby'€™s physical condition.

The baby is the third child of Poniman, 35, and Lasmini, 32. Besides having two heads, the baby appears to have a shorter right arm.

Poniman said that his wife had never been to an obstetrician, adding that she was completely healthy during the nine-month pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Langkat administration secretary Indra Salahuddin said that the administration would provide financial assistance to the couple.
