rodia medical laboratory has completed the first phase of Graha Prodia Surabaya, its first project to implement green building principles.
With the topping off ceremony conducted on March 22, the project is slated to be complete by September 2014, in conjunction with Prodia Surabaya's 34th anniversary.
Graha Prodia is managed and operated according to several environmentally sustainable measures: Sustainable building site and recyclable materials; water efficiency and conservation; energy efficiency and conservation; as well as high quality of indoor environment.
By utilizing green office building management principles, the company is attempting to support the Surabaya administration's program to make the city more environmentally sustainable.
The project allocated 22 percent of its premises as open green space. And it has submitted an application for certification from the US Green Building Council, according to a statement on the company's website.
