regional lender from North Sulawesi, Bank Sulut, booked a 30.34 percentprofit increase in 2013, equivalent to Rp 181.43 billion, compared to Rp 139.39billion in 2012, Bank Sulut executive director Johanis C. Salibanasaid on Saturday,as quoted by Antara news agency.
He said the bank enjoyed such profits thanks to its credit expansion, which showed a 21.24 percent increase from Rp 4.66 trillion in 2012 to Rp 5.65 trillion in 2013.
He added that, above all, the credit was manifested in the bank's growing total assets, currently registered at Rp 7.8 trillion, up from the 2012 figure of Rp 6.54 trillion. (put)
