'We will file both criminal and civil lawsuits over this matter for the sake of victims within the JIS environment,' Ariest said after attending a court hearing in Semarang on Wednesday.
He said the school must be made aware of the cost the parents had to bear to restore their child's psychological health.
'Another social problem will rise if the victim receives no psychological treatment,' he said.
Jakarta Police investigators have named five cleaners as suspects, one of which, identified as Azwar, committed suicide on May 24 in the Jakarta Police's detention center's bathroom. (dic)
