Guess what?: Happy to bring Inggit back to stage again

JP/Wendra Ajistyatama

JAKARTA: For the 12th time, actress Happy Salma will play president Sukarno'€™s second wife Inggit Ganarsih in Monolog Inggit.

Unlike previous shows, this play will also feature a Sundanese traditional gamelan music ensemble and contemporary dance.

'€œThis play will be a more colossal production. Featuring music, dance performances and high tech special effects, I can better invite audience to feel directly Inggit'€™s emotions,'€ Happy said.

Monolog Inggit, adapted from Kuantar Ke Gerbang (I Will Take You to The Gate) book, is directed by Wawan Sofwan and is written by Ahda Imran.

It is organized by Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation, Titimangsa Foundation and The Jakarta Post and will be staged on May 10 at Teater Jakarta, Taman Ismail Marzuki in Central Jakarta.

It will also collaborate with dancers from Studio Titik Dua and a choir from Bandung'€™s Indonesia University of Education (UPI).
