The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) says it will step up its probe into the alleged role of Democratic Party lawmaker Sutan Bhatoegana in the bribery case plaguing the oil and gas sector after the Jakarta Corruption Court sentenced former Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKKMigas) head Rudi Rubiandini to seven years in prison.

KPK spokesman Johan Budi said that KPK investigators had collected more than enough evidence over the course of Rudi'€™s four-month trial that it could use to prosecute more individuals.

Aren'€™t we getting there? It looks like the dominos are falling and it is evidently clear that the bigwigs of the Democratic Party only work to craft corrupt schemes to enrich themselves '€” and are now marching to jail! That'€™s great news. You bet, more are on the way. These greedy thieves should be given 20 years without any remissions that will teach others not to steal taxpayers'€™ money. The President is aware of all these developments '€” what did he do to circumvent these schemes? Anyone?

Does it make sense for another decent and honest political party to accept the Democratic Party
(corrupted as it were) to fight together in the presidential election in October? Isn'€™t that going influence a disastrous outcome if common sense and logic prevails? The disgraced party should quickly bow out and close shop before more worms jump out of the can.

How this man became a high-level political operative in the Democratic Party amazes me.  Investigate him, clean up the party and get ride off adventurists. I hope this way Indonesia will have new generation of politicians who are clean, honest, educated, rationally effective and truly sided with truth and the people.
