Head of Jambi Prosecutors' Office economic section Novan Siregar was found stabbed to death in Jambi on Saturday.
Comr. Sunhot P. Silalahi from the Jambi City Police confirmed that the cause of
death was the stab wounds. He said the police knew the identities of the
suspected murders, two siblings, and had deployed a team to purse them.
"They fled the scene after committing the crime," he said.
Eye witnesses said the incident occurred around 9 a.m. but no one intervened
as the alleged perpetrators were wielding sharp weapons, Sunhot said.
The police also found evidences that would corroborate rumors that debt
problems were behind the fatal stabbing.
Novan's body will be buried in Medan.
