Giring limits kids' time on gadgets

Giring Ganesha Djumaryo, vocalist with pop-rock band Nidji, said he was trying to keep his children from using gadgets too much, encouraging them to play outside instead.
'I have an iPad and iPhone at home, but I don't want my kids to play on these gadgets all of the time. I want them to bike around, play cowboys and hide-and-seek,' Giring told kapanlagi.com.
The 30-year-old said he was trying his best to guide his two children in how to use technology.
'My eldest, Zidan, likes to watch YouTube videos, so I direct him to educational videos about planets and space because he loves that kind of thing,' he said.
Giring said he also enjoyed watching YouTube videos with his children, as he gained a great deal of new knowledge, too.
In 2010, Giring married Chintya Riza, a single mother of one, who is six years his junior. The couple had their first daughter, Aisyah, in January 2011.
