he Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed on a positive note in Thursday's finaltrading session as it increased by 1.21 percent to 4,969.88.
Despite the index's improvement, trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX)was rather slow in the afternoon as the volume of transactions involved only 6.32billion shares worth Rp 6.04 trillion (US$ 525.48 million), kontan.co.idreported.
IDX data
showed stocks across every sector strengthened in the closing session, with the
finance sector recording the highest increase with 1.89 percent, followed by
infrastructure and mining with increases of 1.65 percent and 1.63 percent,
respectively.
Meanwhile, LQ45 index's highest gainers included PT Cipaganti Citra Graha
(CPGT), PT Equity Development AM (GSMF) and PT Sat Nusapersada (PTSN).
