Singer-songwriter Anggun will represent Indonesia in the upcoming World Music Awards (WMA) in Monte Carlo on May 27.
The official website of the prestigious music event posted a picture of Anggun and the Indonesian flag as an invitee.
'Ready for the World Music Awards,' Anggun, 40, tweeted on Wednesday.
The event will also feature Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Ricky Martin, Leona Lewis, Cris Cab and many others.
Anggun started her career as child rocker Anggun C. Sasmi. Now resided in France, Anggun had made her name worldwide with her album Snow on the Sahara in 1997. The single 'Saviour' from the album Luminescence was featured on the soundtrack for the movie Transporter 2.
Anggun has also been active in campaigning on environmental issues and against racism.
The rumor mill is busy with speculation surrounding R&B and pop singer Agnez Mo attendance at the event as she recently entered the America music industry with her single 'Coke Bottle'.
In respond to some comments on Twitter questioning her citizenship, Anggun posted: 'For those who doubt me, please ask my parents and siblings whether I'm an Indonesian or not. Their answer will be: We are Javanese.'
