Comments: Sultan takes tough stance on Yogya attack

Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X says the time for dialogue with the group that recently attacked a Catholic prayer group in Sleman has passed.

Your comments:

If he doesn'€™t do something firm against the bad guys, Yogya is headed down the drain. Tourism will fall and university enrollment will go down. People head to Yogya for various reasons but most of those reasons stem from the peace that Yogya has always held dear. If the bad guys get away with this it will just allow them to get worse in their actions. Talk is cheap. Actions do speak the loudest.

Well, he'€™s right when he says, '€œActs of violence should be legally and firmly addressed'€. But, the problem is, are they going to be? Or are they just going to be forgotten and ignored? Next, one might ask, what specifically is the sultan, as governor of the province, going to do about it?
