undreds of artists, musicians and creative workers have teamed up to hold a concert in support of presidential candidate Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo and his running mate, Jusuf Kalla.

The concert, entitled '€œThe Salam Dua Jari (Two-finger salute) Concert: Road to Victory'€, was organized by the non-profit group, Revolusi Harmoni and was initiated by Abdee, a member of the country'€™s biggest rock band, Slank. The event will be held at Bung Karno Stadium in Senayan, Central Jakarta, starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

'€œSalam Dua Jari'€ is a campaign song made popular by Slank, and refers to the number two on the ballot paper assigned for the Jokowi-Kalla ticket for the July 9 presidential election.

'€œHundreds of musicians and artists will collaborate and perform or display their work during the event, which was initiated by all of us. We aim to participate in the historic event and we will join the event as citizens, without the involvement of any political power,'€ Abee said at a press conference at the Jokowi campaign media center on Jl. Cemara in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday.

Among the artists and musicians who will take part in the event are Slank, Titiek Puspa, Kahitna, /Rif, Kla Project and Yovie and Nuno. The rapper JFlow as well as filmmakers and actors such as Mira Lesmana, Nia Dinata and Slamet Rahardjo.

'€œWe will all participate pro bono (without payment), and the event is funded by volunteers and our friends,'€ Abdee said.

Jazz singer Dira Sugandi said that the concert also aimed to encourage abstainers to vote on July 9.

"I am very concerned about the high number of young people who don'€™t care about the presidential election,'€ she said.

Abdee shared in the sentiment, saying that the concert would encourage fans, particularly Slank fans, to support the Jokowi-Kalla pairing.

'€œAs many as 133 Slankers [Slank'€™s fan base] gathered on Gang Potlot [Slank'€™s base camp in South Jakarta] yesterday to voice their support for Jokowi-Kalla. I believe that 90 percent of Slankers will vote for them, " he said. "But this is democracy, so we won'€™t pressure our fans to support our choice,'€ he added, claiming that about 5 percent of the Indonesian population were Slankers.
