Pipik Dian Irawati, the widow of Muslim preacher Jefri 'Uje' al-Buchori, says she wants to renovate and sell her house, recently damaged in a fire, to build an orphanage.
There were plans on the books to sell the house in Bintaro, Tangerang, even before her husband's death, she said.
'Slowly but surely,' Pipik said, as quoted by tempo.co. 'If it is back in shape, I'm going to sell it. Actually, my late husband had planned to sell the house two years ago to build a place for orphans.'
Pipik said that she was determined to carry on with the plan and that she was glad her kids had supported the decision.
'Abidzar is one of my kids who is really excited about the plan. He can make friends with the orphans. Abidzar had even requested a space to play sports with them,' she added.
