olice have arrested four men for allegedly raping a 16-year-old junior high school student, South Sumatra's Musirawas Police chief, Adj. Sr. Comr. Chaidir, said on Wednesday.
Chaidir said police apprehended the suspects, identified as VJ, 17, UK, 30, HT, 28 and MY, 32, who were all residents of Musirawas regency, Palembang, on Saturday after receiving a report from the victim's family.
He said the victim identified as YT, had met VJ while going to the mosque for the tarawih Ramadhan evening prayer on Friday at about 7:30 p.m.
On the way to the mosque, VJ allegedly forced YT into a house on a palm oil plantation and raped her. After committing the crime, the other suspects then alledgedly raped the victim as well.
