n the Apple Coal T20 2013-14 '€œCup'€ finals, APC United will take on WPP Wizards, while Menara Devils will clash with Jakarta Barbarians in the '€œPlate'€ finals on July 20. Coincidentally, all four teams belong to Group A.

In the '€œCup'€ semifinals, APC beat TKCC by five runs in a close game. Sent into bat first, APC started cautiously reaching 54/3 in 10 overs, before run machine Viraj Bhammar (58 not out) and William Noronha (39) helped APC reach a fighting 159/5 in 20 overs. Rakesh took three wickets. TKCC reached 71/4 in 10 overs but fell short by five runs in the end.

In the other semifinal match, Amol (54) and Sai (52) helped WPP fight back from 88/5 in 10 overs to reach a healthy 182 runs in 20 overs. Ashit Mehta took three wickets while Prem and Puneet took two wickets each. Senayan lost by 42 runs, with Ramdoni making 37 runs. Sirji Dheeraj and Pallav took two wickets apiece.

In the '€œPlate'€, Menara reached the finals after beating Jaguars by 14 runs. Sent in to bat first, Menara rocketed to 105/2 in 10 overs with Neetesh Pansare blasting 73 runs off 37 balls and Harish Tiwari making a quick-fire 35 runs.

Jaguars pulled things back by taking a couple of quick wickets, but an unbeaten 40 from Gaurav Tiwari ensured Menara reached 181/9 in 20 overs. Uttam took four wickets. Jaguars raced to 66 in six overs without losing a wicket, before a tight spell of four overs for 18 runs by Gaurav Tiwari and two wickets each by Sushant and Harish restricted Jaguars to 146/6. Corban top scored with 42 runs.

Meanwhile, an all-round performance from Ben Burgess helped Barbarians thrash CSK by 57 runs. Barbarians made 146/6 in 20 overs with Ben scoring 74 runs. Later, he took five wickets to skittle CSK out for a paltry 89 runs.
