he Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasacampaign team plans to deploy thousands of volunteers to safeguard the GeneralElections Commission (KPU) during the announcement of the presidential electionresults on July 22.
'The deployment is out of our concern to safeguard the situation during the announcement,' Lt. Gen. (ret) Yunus Yosfiah of the Prabowo-Hatta campaign team said on the sidelines of a security briefing conducted by the campaign team on Thursday, as quoted by kompas.com.
He shrugged off a suggestion allegation that the deployment could create the wrong impression in the field.
The security briefing was conducted at the Padepokan Pencak Silat training center in the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah recreation park on Thursday. Thousands of people attended the briefing.(dic)
