he General Elections Commission (KPU) is scheduled to announce the final results of the 2014 presidential election this afternoon (Tuesday) at 4 p.m.
The announcement, to be held at the KPU's headquarters in Central Jakarta, will confirm the winner of the election.
'[The results will be announced] on Tuesday at 4 p.m., hopefully before the breaking of the fast," KPU commissioner Hadar Nafis Gumay said as quoted by kompas.com on Monday night.
Hadar said that the KPU had invited both pairs of presidential candidates -- Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa and Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla -- to the event. However, he said he had not received responses from all four.
Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla have respectively declared their nonattendance in the event. They plan to watch the event from their own homes.
As for Prabowo and Hatta, there has been no confirmation as to whether they plan to attend the event or not.
