he Indonesian Prosperous Labor Union (SBSI) has reported two palm plantation companies in Kampar regency, Riau province for not paying the Idul Fitri allowance (THR) to dozens of their employees.
'We have reported the companies to the Riau Transmigration and Manpower Office today for not paying THR to their 43 workers,' SBSI Kampar chairman Edyson Efrizal said in Pekanbaru on Thursday.
Edyson said one of the companies, located in Pangkalan Bru village, Siak Hulu district, had not paid THR to their 28 employees, while the other company, located in Seberuang village in the same district, did not pay the THR to 15 employees.
'We do not know why they have not paid the THR to their employees. Paying THR is their obligation according to the law,' he was quoted by Antara as saying.
