ive people were injured when a Transjakarta bus and a Kopami Jaya minibus collided at an intersection in Gunung Sahari, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday.
According to Central Jakarta Police traffic unit head Adj. Comr. Sr. Sakat, the minibus driver had jumped a red light.
'The Transjakarta driver did not have enough time to stop the bus [...] The Kopami driver fled the scene and we are still searching for him,' Sakat said as quoted by tempo.co.
Sakat said that the five injured were treated at Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital in Central Jakarta, Mitra Kemayoran Hospital in Kemayoran and Husada Hospital on Jl. Mangga Besar.
Transjakarta bus driver Jumadi said that the bus he was driving was in perfect condition and that he had tried to avoid the minibus.
'Thankfully there were no fatalities,' he said as quoted by kompas.com.
