Kompas.com reported that Harni Daeng Ngintang, 40, did not regain consciousness during her treatment at the Stellamaris Hospital and was buried at a cemetery in the Kusta housing complex on Jl. Dangko in Makassar.
Several government officials paid their respects, including Makassar Mayor Mohammad Ramdhan Pomanto and Deputy Mayor Syamsu Rizal. Neither Kalla nor any of his relatives attended the funeral.
Previously, 15-year-old Dika died from asphyxiation at Kalla's open house. Although 10 others were also trampled on the same occasion, they were sent home after being treated for their injuries at the Stellamaris and Pelamonia hospitals.
Visitors were reportedly very enthusiastic to meet Kalla and his family members, as well as to receive Rp 50,000 (US$4,3) as a donation for attending. (fss)
