The United States has become Bali's largest market for knitted and fashion products, with exports valued at US$4.15 million in May.
The US market absorbed 22 percent of the island's total fashion exports, followed by Australia, Singapore, Japan and other countries in Asia and Europe.
According to data from the provincial Statistics Agency, fashion products generated $53.28 million in the period January-May 2014, a drop of 12.14 percent from the same period last year, which totaled $60.65 million.
Fashion and textile products contributed around 24.78 percent of the $215.04 million total export revenue.
