AKARTA: Singer Andini 'Andien' Aisyah Hariadi said she had a great experience visiting Flores in East Nusa Tenggara for a weeklong vacation with her friends after the Idul Fitri celebration.
Andien visited a number of islands in the region.
'On our first day we went to Kanawa Island and Sebayor Island. The scenery was extraordinary; the sea was so blue and clear. There was only natural beauty to be found as far as you could see,' the 28-year-old said as quoted by kompas.com in Jakarta.
Andien also had the chance to visit the heritage village of Wae Rebo in West Manggarai, which is located on an isolated hill 1,100 meters above sea level and surrounded by thick woods.
'I played with some of the children there; they were so cute. I was also amazed by a 90-year-old woman who was very fit and goes up and down the hill every day to work,' said the singer, who plans to release her sixth album this year.
