Your letters: Take a clear stance on ISIL

aving read numerous reports and comments on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), also known as ISIS, it is clear that a lot of bad feelings toward Islam are being generated worldwide. Some are saying that '€œmoderate'€ Muslims are sitting on their backsides waiting for the US or the West to sort out this horrendous problem.

This is a Middle East era problem that is fast becoming a world problem, meaning that the big boots will surely be making their way over to the Middle East once again.

The West, in the meantime, is playing a cat and mouse game as it does not really want to become bogged down in what is basically an Islamic battle, although for many in the West the enemy is simply Islam and always has been.

It is not interested in Sunni or Shia, or in the argument over Prophet Muhammad'€™s successor.

Indonesia is basically an Islamic country and nothing at all like the Middle East, but people here should at least note that patience is running out, and if ISIL wants a war then they will surely get one.

Western leaders and politicians will soon come under serious pressure from the masses who are already demanding military action.

In the meantime, civilian casualties are mounting, the region is running on barbaric violence and fear, and the help being given is negligible and virtually ineffective.

Apparently, there is an answer, and coincidentally all those comments agree on one thing '€” wipe them out.
