The Riau Police have apprehended four members of a gang in Siak and Bengkalis regencies, Riau province, believed to have murdered and mutilated seven people, mostly children.

The four suspects were identified only by the initials MD, 20, DD, 20, AS, 22, and RS, 46. Police believe the masterminds were husband and wife MD and DD.

Six of the mutilations took place in 2013, with five carried out in Bengkalis and Siak regencies.
