AKARTA: In the past year, the vocalist of pop rock band Nidji, Giring Ganesha, has been occupied with his new venture, the website kincir.com.
'If I don't have a performance or any other activity scheduled, I go to the [website's] office,' Giring said as quoted by kompas.com in Jakarta.
He said the website aimed at providing a platform for artists to promote their products to the public.
'It's more like an online fan club. It's not just to sell things but can also be used as a medium for the artists to communicate with their fans,' the 31-year-old said.
Giring said he initiated the website because he saw there was a need for artists to have continued exposure.
'With the platform I'm helping them, assisting them with booking gigs as well. So it's a win-win situation; they get gigs, I get money,' he smiled.
