There has been a recent explosion of online property listings
here has been a recent explosion of online property listings. For real estate agents, it's been the bane of their existence. Those who want to make their products stand out have their work cut out for them.
They have to work hard to free their advertisements and listings of things that might turn prospective buyers off. Lamudi Indonesia, a real estate marketplace, has identified five common mistakes real estate agents make when they try to market their properties.
1. A lack of good photos
Good online marketing requires attractive visuals. This is something that many real estate agents forget. Not putting any effort into photographs won't help you gain customers. Always ensure that you have at least five photos of different rooms. The photos should be in high resolution so that they can be easily seen. Good lighting is a must. Make sure photos are not blurry. All of this ensures more prospective customers.
2. Poor grammar
Language plays a vital role in marketing. Take some time to check your grammar and sentence structure before publishing a property listing. Use eye-catching sentences; wording that sells. Property listings with catchy titles can truly do wonders to attract interest. Avoid the use of eyebrow-raising words such as 'must be sold immediately'. You wouldn't want people to think you have suspicious ulterior motives for selling a property.
3. A lack of neighborhood information
Don't underestimate the importance of providing knowledge about your property's immediate surroundings. It's something that all property buyers want to know. Listing all the useful facilities within reach of your property can attract more buyers. Some can be used as highly-appealing and marketable arguments, such as low-crime rates or warm neighborhoods.
4. No signs of repairs and renovations
Eco-friendly properties and those that have been renovated tend to sell quicker. Unfortunately, many real estate agents tend to trivialize the importance of these positive attributes when marketing their goods. Don't ever hesitate to promote these things. People want to know if their future home gets healthy doses of sunlight or whether they are free from the risk of flooding.
5. No mention of added values for customers
This is something real estate agents very often forget. If a home has a security system or is insured, then be sure to write that in the description. It will certainly help make a property more attractive. Be sure to tell your audience about what it can get from you that it otherwise can't get from other agents. (JP)
