AKARTA: Duo Endah and Rhesa are urging president-elect Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo to improve the law on intellectual rights in favor of artists and musicians.
The married couple, who perform as Endah N Rhesa, set a challenge for Jokowi to carry out the task within his first 100 days in office, tempo.co reported on Sunday.
'We call out for a revision so that the law sides with musicians and the artists,' Endah Widiastuti said.
The acoustic folk duo, popular for their song 'When You Love Someone', also called out for a thorough investigation into corruption cases.
'We have many things we want the president to prioritize, but those two items alone would be hard enough for him to accomplish in such a short time,' said Rhesa Adityarama.
