he last day of the search for Ramdan Ibrahim, 20, who was missing for more than a week after climbing Mount Gambuta in the Bogani Nani Wartabone National Park (TNBNW), Bone Bolango regency, Gorontalo, ended dramatically.
Ramdan, a member of the Iguana outdoor activity group in Gorontalo, and student of the School of Social Sciences at Gorontalo State University, suddenly appeared as searchers were about to descend from the first hiking post, located 303 meters above sea level.
'On Monday afternoon, a joint team was still left behind on the mountain. The victim suddenly appeared and immediately approached the team,' said Gorontalo National Search and Rescue Agency's section head Djunaidi.
Although Ramdan was weak, he was still able to walk unassisted, according to Djunaidi.
Ramdan was reported missing on the evening of Aug. 17, after a flag-raising ceremony at the peak of the 1,745-meter Mt. Gambuta.
His fellow hikers conducted a two-day search before eventually descending and reporting the matter to the search and rescue team on Tuesday.
