Jokowi, as always, has a strategy to 'control' the media's news and constrain the criticism toward him and his partners.
Once there was a rumor about a rift between Jokowi and Ahok, when Ahok disobeyed the governor's decree to avoid using cars or motorbikes on Fridays.
In that case, Jokowi needed only a few words to counter and erase the rumor.
Currently, there is the hot rumor about the rift between Jokowi and Kalla due to Jokowi's idea to simplify the Cabinet's size.
By clarifying it only once for the media, everything will return to normal.
From my point of view, Jokowi has an invisible power to control the media.
Unlike the New Order regime, which forced the media to follow the government, Jokowi has gained trust from the media; whatever Jokowi says, people and the media will consider it the real truth and believe it.

Indeed, he comes from the country's second-biggest contingent in the House of Representatives, but since the leadership of the party is being held by a figure who joined the opposition, what is the real purpose of this individual in the incoming administration?

Jokowi has to show him who's boss. You know, leaders should be dependable like Deputy Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama when his boss was on leave. It would be better yet to get Ahok or any other proven-clean hardworking young tech-savvy brain with good health and great stamina who can go to the transition team's office every day... instead of an oldie that can't keep up with changes.
