The position of the deputy governor has to be discussed with political parties, which must propose the right, clean person, like president-elect Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Ahok.

Ahok should know best with whom he can collaborate.
Indonesia's political parties, most of the time, put their political interests over people's interests. I support you, Pak Ahok, go ahead!

Ahok would do better selecting his deputy from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), rather than non-political officials like Sarwo Handayani or Sylviana Murni.
The first reason is due to support from the City Council. As far as we know, the PDI-P tops the council with 28 seats, followed by the Gerindra Party with 15 seats. If both the PDI-P and Gerindra collaborate, there will be no obstacles in the council to the governor and his deputy.
Secondly, Ahok needs someone to take over Jokowi's blusukan (impromptu visits), believed to be the most effective way of supervising the capital's administration ' and Sarwo or Sylviana are office people.
I just hope for the best for Pak Ahok and Jakarta.

It's not up to him to choose his deputy, but at least he expresses his preference as to who he could work comfortably with.
I know for sure it would be the best moment for a reconciliation between the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and Gerindra, which people have been expecting since they were torn apart in the presidential election.

We have become so far behind in many fields, in education, among others.
By this time, Ahok must be the guy who knows most about the 'limping' Jakarta, as shown by his predecessor.
His choice of an official to take his place as deputy governor must be the right person for him to work with if we are to expect real progress in the city of Jakarta, which is supposed to be an exemplary city.

Fuel subsidy cut
As President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono rejected cutting the fuel subsidy, which burdens the state budget, president-elect Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo said he would introduce a cut soon after he was officially inaugurated as president. What do you think?
