PPATK ready to probe financial records of KPK commissioner candidates

PPATK ready to probe financial records of KPK commissioner candidates

gus Santoso, deputy head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK), has said the center is ready to gather all the relevant financial information belonging to the 11 candidates who are being considered for the role of commissioner at theCorruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

'€œIt will take two weeks to complete the task,'€ Agus said recently as quoted by kompas.com.

However, he added that no request had been made by the KPK's selection committee thus far.

A total of 11 candidates, namely Iwan Nazarudin Kurniawan,Ichran Efendy Siregar, Jamin Ginting, Muhammad Busyro Muqoddas, I Wayan Sudirta, Trisaktiyana, Ninik Maryanti, Ahmad Taufik, Robby Arya Brata, Subagio and Edi Fritz Sinaga are now entering the third stage of the KPK's selection process.

During this phase, the selection committee will join forces with other institutions, such as the PPATK, the National Police and the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) to look into their respective backgrounds and financial reports. The committee also expects members of the public to provide reports if they have any information regarding the candidates.

The selection committee is set to appoint someone to replace Busyro Muqoddas, who will be retiring in December. (alz/dic)
