he Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened on a positive note in Wednesday's first trading session, rising by 0.79 percent to 5,170.26.
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data showed 160 stocks strengthened in the morning while 38 stocks weakened and 52 stocks remained unchanged, kontan.co.id reported.
The volume of trade involved 608.465 million shares worth Rp 774.67 billion (US$64.87 million).
Shares in all sectors traded on the IDX made improvements by 9:00 a.m on Wednesday with trade recording the highest growth of 1.17 percent, followed by construction and infrastructure with 0.97 percent and 0.91 percent, respectively.
Stocks in the LQ 45 index which saw the highest gains during the opening session included PT Pakuwon Jati (PWON), PT Surya Citra Media (SCMA) and PT XL Axiata (EXCL). (nfo)
