he Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed on a positivenote in Thursday's final trading session, climbing by 0.38 percent to finish at5,208.14.
Shares in seven out of 10 sectors traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) rose, with finance recording the highest increase as it had strengthened by 1.41 percent by 4 p.m. on Thursday, kontan.co.id reported.
Sectors that weakened in the closing session were basic industry, mining and construction.
IDX data revealed 108 stocks strengthened significantly, beating 177 stocks that failed to make improvements and 99 stocks that were unchanged.
The volume of trade involved 5.89 billion stocks worth Rp 5.97 trillion (US$ 495.51 million).
Shares in the LQ45 index that saw the highest growth during the final trade included PT Express Transindo Utama, PT Matahari Department Store and PT Bank Tabungan Negara. (nfo)
