Honda continues to innovate to boost sales

onda Prospect Motorpresident director Tomoki Uchida said that his company would continueinnovating new technologies in its automobiles to increase their sales inIndonesia.

He said that most Honda cars recorded satisfying growth this year.

The car company was able to sell 234,516 units of its city car, the Honda Jazz, from January to August 2014.

The company also sold 107,000 units and 74,732 units of its Honda Civic and Honda Freed over the same period, respectively.

'€œWe continue upgrading the innovation of our cars to meet the demand of our customers in Indonesia,'€ Uchida told The Jakarta Post on Thursday during the Indonesia International Motor Show in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

At the event, Uchida added that the company had  launched new models of its most popular cars, namely the Honda Jazz RS Black Top Limited Edition, the Honda Civic and the Honda Freed S.

'€œI believe our sales will rise next year with the introduction of our latest models,'€ he said.

The all new Honda Jazz RS Black Top, for instance, has a better safety system, featuring Vehicle Stability Assist, side curtain airbags and emergency stop signal, he said.(alz/nfo)
