akarta Police will use force to apprehend theadministrator of the Kaliadem seaport for questioning after the suspect, whowas connected with an incident onboard a ship at the Thousand Islands on Aug.27, ignored the police summons.
'We have already sent a notification to the Transportation Agency about what we are going to do and have advised them to tell the port administrator to be cooperative,' Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said on Thursday.
The Kaliadem port administrator will be questioned about the ill-fated passenger ship KMP Paus, which exploded and caught fire on waters around the Thousand Islands, causing dozens of passengers to suffer serious and minor burns.
So far, the police suspect that the explosion was caused by an on-board fuel spill that came into contact with several badly damaged electrical wires.
