Indonesia eyes more medals in Incheon

ndonesia is hoping to earn more medals in judo, weightlifting, wushu and swimming events, which will all enter their final stages on Sunday at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games in South Korea.

Indonesian judoka (judo athlete) Iksan Apriadi would compete in the men's 73-kilogram weight-class event while Putu Wiradhamungga Adesta in the men's 81-kg event, Antara news agency reported on Sunday from Incheon.

Indonesian weightlifters are expected to contribute more medals as Citra Febriani and Syarah Anggraini are competing in the women's 53-kg class. Other weightlifters set to compete on Sunday are Eko Yuli Irawan and Muhamad Hasbi in the men's 62-kg class.

In wushu, Ahmad Hulaefi will compete in the men's daoshu/gunshu all-round event.

Weightlifting and wushu contributed one silver medal each on Saturday.

In swimming events, I Gede Siman Sudartawa and Ricky Anggawijaya are expected to make a splash. Siman is competing in the men's 100-meter backstroke event while Ricky in the men's 200m freestyle event. (nvn)
