The South Jakarta Police arrested four men on Monday on suspicion of robbing a house in Pancoran, South Jakarta, last Friday.
South Jakarta Police detective unit head Comr. Indra Siregar told reporters on Wednesday that the suspects allegedly pretended to offer a door prize to the house owners.
'They said that they needed to enter the house to take measurements relating to the prize. They then held a gun to the maid's head and forced her into the bathroom while they stole valuables,' he said, adding that the police had arrested the four men in Bekasi, West Java.
Indra said the police had confiscated the stolen valuables, including two gold bricks, one gold bracelet and eight wads of US$100 bills.
