he Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed on a positive note in Monday's final trade session, rising by 0.23 percent to close at 5,049.53.
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data showed 181 traded stocks had strengthened by 4 p.m. on Monday, while 122 stocks weakened and 77 stocks remained stable, kontan.co.id reported.
The volume of transactions in the closing session involved 5.441 billion shares worth Rp 7.54 trillion (US$625.82 million).
Shares in six out of the 10 sectors traded on the IDX strengthened, with trade recording the highest increase, climbing by 1.5 percent, followed by miscellaneous industries and basic industries, which rose by 0.81 percent and 0.66 percent, respectively.
The LQ45 index stocks that saw the highest gains during Monday's closing session were PT Global Mediacom (BMTR), PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa (INTP) and PT Bumi Serpong Damai (BSDE).
Meanwhile, PT PP London Sumatra (LSIP), PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur (ICBP) and PT XL Axiata (EXCL) were the index's biggest losers. (nfo)(++++)
