AKARTA: Mavecrics go into Diwali week on a high upsetting the fancied TKCC, while the victory for the Jakarta Barbarians helped them leap-frog in the Division I standings table of the Apple Coal JCA League 2014-15.

At Cibubur, the Mavecrics upset TKCC by 68 runs and in the process grabbed the second spot in the Division II standings. Mavs scored 173 runs, with Pradeep top scoring with 38 runs and captain Sandeep Gaikwad chipping in with 20 runs. TKCC were bowled out for 105 runs with Pradeep taking 3 wickets. Shankar Shanky, Prashant and Miraz took 2 wickets each. For TKCC, Negi made 23 runs.

At Gandhi, Barbarians thrashed Challengers by 9 wickets, with more than 16 overs to spare. Eki Antari was the man of the match taking 5 wickets and scoring an unbeaten 52 runs. Earlier, electing to bat first, Challengers struggled to reach 130 runs in 26 overs. Barbarians were ruthless in the run chase reaching the target in 19 overs losing just 1 wicket. Tim Gutsell made 52 runs.

WISCI, India XI and Barbarians lead Division I, while Fez Rebels, Mavecrics and Metro Indians lead Division II.

The 19th edition of the Jakarta International Sixes tournament is slated to be played on Nov. 1-2. Eight teams, including three foreign teams, will be participating in this tournament.
