wo days after his inauguration as Indonesia's seventh president, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo has confirmed that he will announce his Cabinet line-up today.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday morning, the former Jakarta governor said he would announce the names of his ministers sometime this afternoon or evening.
'I'll let you know the time. [The announcement] will take place either in Pluit (in North Jakarta), Tanah Abang (in Central Jakarta), Tanjung Priok (in North Jakarta) or maybe another place,' he said after a brief visit to his former official residence as Jakarta governor in Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Jokowi, a former Surakarta mayor and Jakarta governor, was officially inaugurated as president on Monday after he and running mate Jusuf Kalla secured 53.2 percent of votes in the July 9 presidential election.
Jokowi has involved the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) to assess dozens of potential candidates short-listed to fill 33 ministerial posts ' four of which will be coordinating ministers. (hwa)
