ewly inaugurated President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo haspostponed the announcement of his Cabinet, earlier expected to take place atTanjung Priok port in North Jakarta Wednesday evening.
Journalists, who had been waiting at the port for two hours, left at around 7:30 p.m. since Jokowi was no longer going to Priok.
Earlier, spokesperson for state-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Pelindo II), Muti, said that they had received information from the Paspampres (Presidential Security Detail) that there would be an event at the port at 7 p.m.
A black-carpeted stage and sound system had already been set up at Terminal 3 of the port. Military police personnel and several police officers were also seen patrolling around Terminal 3 at 5 p.m.
Ten Paspampres officers had also stationed themselves in front of the Pelindo office. (nfo)
