National Police chief recommends four officers to Jokowi.

N

ational Police chief Gen. Sutarman says that he has recommended four of his institution'€™s best officers to newly elected President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo, who is to select an adjutant.

The four police officers are Adj. Sr. Comr. Bakharudin Muhammad Syah, Sr. Comr. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Sr. Comr. Teddy Minahasa Putra and Sr. Comr. Agus Wijayanto, Sutarman told the press in Jakarta on Wednesday, as quoted by Antara news agency.

Bakharudin is currently Jakarta Police's traffic division deputy head, while Listyo is Central Sulawesi Police's criminal investigation unit head.

Teddy is Jakarta Police's traffic division head of registration and identification and Agus is the traffic division head at the Central Sulawesi Police.

He said that as adjutant to the President, an officer must satisfy a number of criteria, including the non-negotiable points of being smart, with strong communication skills and of high integrity.

'€œThey are the shield against any possible danger that could attack the President,'€ he said.

He also said that an adjutant had to be someone who the President could talk to about many issues, like a friend.

'€œThe President can exercise his presidential prerogative in choosing his adjutant. What we can do is recommend our best officers who meet the criteria,'€ he said, adding that the National Police would agree to and support Jokowi'€™s choice. (tah/nfo)(++++)
