he General Elections Commission (KPU) expects to finish collecting election evaluation reports from all Regional Elections Commission (KPUD) branches by the middle of December.
KPU chairman Husni Kamil Manik said that all KPUDs were currently preparing evaluation reports of the 2014 legislative and presidential election, as mandated by law.
"They are compiled comprehensively and in detail. We are aiming for all reports from KPU provincial and regional branches to be collected by mid-December," he announced at a meeting attended by all election organizers in Batam, Riau Islands, on Wednesday.
Husni added that the reports would be used to improve the next round of general elections, which are scheduled for 2019.
He said that the evaluation would take criticisms of the KPU into consideration.
"There are lots of notes [in the evaluation reports]. Simply said, there were some goals that we achieved and others that we didn't," Husni said.
Even so, he said that most of the criticisms of the KPU had been baseless.
"The public is still suspicious of the existing election process," said Husni.
