ublicly listed media company PT Tempo Inti Media (TMPO) has established a new subsidiary, teaming up with diversified business group Bosowa in order to strengthen its position in the country's media industry.
Tempo corporate secretary Diah Purnomowati said that PT Tempo Inti Media Harian and PT Bosowa Media Utama recently set up PT Koran Tempo Makassar.
'We project that the establishment of the new company will bring a positive impact to the holding company and the subsidiary as well,' Diah said on Thursday as quoted by kontan.co.id, adding that they were processing the business permit of the company with related ministries and institutions.
Previously on Sept. 25 this year, Tempo set up seven new subsidiaries, namely PT TV Tempo Bandung, PT TV Tempo Yogyakarta, PT TV Tempo Surabaya, PT TV Tempo Balikpapan, PT TV Tempo Batam, PT Temprint Graha Delapan and PT Matair Rumah Kreatif.
PT Tempo Inti Media is a media company engaged in the production and publication of news. Its flagship product is Tempo, a weekly news magazine.
It also publishes daily newspaper Koran Tempo, as well as Tempo English, which is an English edition of Tempo, and tempo.co, an online news portal.
The printing business is operated by its subsidiary PT Temprint. (nfo)(+++)
